Hardyston Paving is a family-owned company working out of Franklin, New Jersey, paving driveways, parking lots and private roads across Sussex County and Northern New Jersey since 1970. Most of our work still comes from neighbors, referrals and property owners we paved for years ago.

A Better Driveway Starts Below the Surface.
Most driveway failures are not asphalt problems — they are base and drainage problems. This is the sequence we follow on every installation, and why we spend so much of the job below the surface where nobody sees it.

Site Preparation
Existing surface and vegetation are removed and the area is excavated to the depth the job requires.
- 02
Grading & Drainage
Grade and pitch are established so water runs away from structures instead of sitting on the surface.
- 03
Stone Base
A crushed stone base is installed to the correct depth — the layer that carries the load.
- 04
Compaction
The base is rolled and compacted to eliminate voids and settling before any asphalt is placed.
- 05
Asphalt Installation
Hot asphalt is laid at the specified depth and compacted while workable for a tight, uniform finish.
